Gabi Fernández is a third-year graduate student in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology program at Rice University. She is originally from Mexico City and got her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and International Studies from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Her research focuses on team effectiveness, team resilience, and team coaching, focusing on healthcare teams as well as gangs and the criminal system. Moreover, she conducts her research with an interdisciplinary focus and weaves political science, sociology, and anthropology into her psychological research. Her work has been published in Organizational Dynamics, Journal of Interprofessional Care, Frontiers in Medicine, and Oxford Bibliographies.
